The Damallsvenskan 1988 was the 1st season of Damallsvenskan , the top division in Swedish women's football . The games took place between April 24th and September 24th, 1988. This was followed by a play-off round that ended with the final second leg on November 5, 1988.

Öxabäck IF prevailed both in the regular season and in the play-offs and won its sixth championship. As in the previous year, Lena Videkull won the title of “Skyttedrottningar” (top scorer) from master Öxabäck with 24 goals.
