Damallsvenskan 2002

The Damallsvenskan 2002 was the 15th season of the Damallsvenskan , the top division in Swedish women's football . The games took place between April 20 and October 26, 2002. The number of relegated teams was reduced from three to two this season.

Umeå IK won the championship for the third time in a row. As the first team in league history, the team from northern Sweden scored more than 100 goals in one season. Hanna Ljungberg won the title of “Skyttedrottningar” (top scorer) from Umeå. Her 39 goals this season are a league record that is still valid today.
