Älvsjö AIK
Älvsjö AIK is a Swedish sports club from southern Stockholm . It was founded on May 23, 1915. His main sporting activities are soccer and floorball (Swedish: innebandy ).
In 2003 the women's football department of Älvsjö AIK FF merged with the club Djurgårdens IF and from then on played as Djurgårdens IF / Älvsjö. The championship was won in the very first season. In 2005 the team even reached the final of the UEFA Women's Cup , but lost to the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . In February 2007, Älvsjö AIK dissolved the merger.
Älvsjö AIK became Swedish champions in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 and won the Svenska cupen in women's soccer three times . The club organizes its own cup competition, the so-called "Ersans Cup", which is named after Ernst "Ersan" Karlsson, who did a great job for the club.

The club's football division had its most successful period during the 1940s, when it won various championships in the Swedish regional leagues ( distriktsmästerskap / DM ). The Älvsjö AIK football section eventually became its own football club, Älvsjö AIK Fotbollsförening .
Over the years the club has produced many well-known players who also played in the highest Swedish league ( Allsvenskan ): including: Jan-Erik Sjöberg, Börje Leback, Yngve Leback , Birger Jacobsson, Micke Rönnberg, Micke Andersson, Niclas Kindvall , Thomas Nilsson and most recently Elias Storm ( Djurgårdens IF ) and Olof Guterstam ( IF Brommapojkarna ).
The greatest success of the men's team of Älvsjö AIK FF is the promotion to Division 2 in 1968, which was the second highest division in Sweden at the time. The men's team is currently playing in the "division 2 norra svealand".
In 2006, the women's team at Älvsjö AIK was promoted to "division 1".
In the 1941 season, the club's ice hockey department took part in the Swedish championship , which was then still held in cup mode .
