The Kvarnsvedens Idrottsklubb (short: Kvarnsvedens IK or KIK; German Kvarnsvedens Sportverein ) is a football club in the central Swedish town of Borlänge , Dalarnas län .
history
The Kvarnsvedens Idrottsklubb was founded in 1962 under the name BTK Verdandi , in 1970 the association gave itself its current name. The men's team of the club played over time mainly in the middle and lower league area. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, she played at times in the third highest division, but could not assert herself there permanently.
The women's soccer team was all the more successful and played second-rate for several years. In 2015 she rose to the Damallsvenskan and finished her first league season in ninth place in the table. With only four wins of the season, the womanhood missed relegation in the following season together with bottom of the table KIF Örebro , although she had the third most successful attack series in the series with 41 goals this season, but was the top scorer of the championship with Tabitha Chawinga from Malawi . As fourth in the table of the Elitettan , the women missed the direct return.
