The Belgian national football team represents Belgium in international women's football . The national team is subordinate to the Belgian Football Association and has been coached by Ives Serneels since 2011 . The Belgian selection was only able to qualify for a major tournament, the 2017 European Championship finals. The Belgians have not yet qualified for a World Cup finals. The best performance was reaching the playoffs of the best runners-up in qualifying for the 2019 World Cup , where the team failed due to the away goals rule against Switzerland.
