The Yugoslav national soccer team for women was a national team that existed from 1972 to 1992.

history

The Yugoslav women played their first international match on May 25, 1972 against Italy . Italy were also the most frequent opponents, with the two teams facing each other in 10 games (only five of which were recognized by FIFA).

The team took part in a tournament in Pescara in 1978 and in 1991 in the "4th Grand Hotel Varna Tournament", but only in 1992 in qualifying for a European Championship .

The last international match took place as part of the qualification for the European Championship 1993 on May 28, 1992 against Germany due to the conflicts in Yugoslavia in the Bulgarian capital Sofia and was lost 3-0. The second leg in Germany was not played because of the war in Yugoslavia and Germany was declared the group winner. It was not until 1995 that a national women's soccer team from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia played again for international matches.
