The Czech national football team represents the Czech Republic in international women's football . The national team is subordinate to the Czech Football Association and is coached by Vladimír Hruška. The Czech selection has not yet qualified for a major tournament. She is the successor to the Czechoslovak team , which played 28 games between 1986 and 1992, but could never qualify for a continental or world championship. The Czechoslovak team was the only one that played a game against the GDR women's national team .
In qualifying for the 2011 World Cup , the team met Sweden , Belgium , Wales and Azerbaijan . The Czech women took second place behind Sweden.
In qualifying for the EM 2013 , the Czech Republic met Austria , among others , but achieved only third place with four wins, one draw and three defeats, which meant that the playoffs of the group runners-up were missed. The decisive factor was a 2-3 home defeat against Austria on June 16, 2012, which also meant the first defeat against Austria.
In the FIFA world rankings, the Czech Republic ranked 19th from September 2006 to December 2007, but then fell back to 26th.
