Pavlína Ščasná (born April 3, 1982 in Roudnice nad Labem ) is a former Czechoslovak soccer player who was last under contract with the US first division club Boston Breakers and ended her career there in 2011.

Career

societies

Ščasná began playing football at the age of nine at the Cypriot club Anagennisi Deryneia ; her father Zdeněk , a professional footballer, ended his career at this club as a player- coach.

In the Czechoslovakia returned, she played from 1992 in the football department of SK Roudnice nad Labem , a resident in her birthplace sports club. After four seasons in boys' teams, she was signed by Sparta Prague in 1996 , for whom she made her debut in 1997 at the age of 15 in the Gambrinus Liga , the top Czech division. At the end of her first season in the senior division, she won the championship with the team. Despite her young age, she was one of the top performers of the team with which she won the championship in the following four seasons (until 2001) and in early 1999, at the age of 16, was voted Czech football player of the year 1998.

For the 2001/02 season she was signed by Bundesliga club Bayern Munich , for whom she became the most successful goalscorer with 14 goals in 19 games . In the following season she played eleven point games by the end of 2002 and scored one goal on October 6 and 27, and on November 17 and December 1, 2002.

In early 2003 , she moved to the US professional club Philadelphia Charge . In the last professional league season of the WUSA , which was discontinued after three seasons for financial reasons, she had to contend with injuries and only played the point games on the first, second and tenth game day.

After returning to Germany, she played again for FC Bayern Munich and was used in 14 league games during the 2003/04 season . In her second league game on March 7, 2004 (11th matchday), she scored her first of ten goals in a 3-0 win in the away game against 1. FC Saarbrücken with the goal in the 65th minute. In the two following seasons she played 39 of 44 point games and scored 17 goals; in the three seasons she achieved seven double goals.

In 2006 she accepted the offer of KIF Örebro and moved to Damallsvenskan , the top division in Swedish women's football. Also in 2007 she was active for the club and scored a total of eleven goals in the point games in which she was used. Moved to league competitor LdB FC Malmö , she scored 18 goals in 56 league games for them from 2008 to 2010 and won the championship title with him in her last season.

The intention to change to the California WPS professional club Los Angeles Sol for the 2010 season failed when the club withdrew from gaming at the end of January 2010 due to financial difficulties. Although she was drafted by Atlanta Beat on February 4, 2010 , she decided to return to Sweden after negotiating with her club LdB FC Malmö. For the 2011 season she moved to the US first division club Boston Breakers. After the regular season (April 9 to August 14), she also ended her career, as she married on August 26, 2011 in certain circumstances.

National team

Even before Ščasná was used for the U-19 national team, she made her debut in the senior national team of her country at the age of 16 . She made her debut on April 25, 1998 in Český Dub in a 1-1 draw against Scotland . In her second A international match on May 16, 1998 in Sedlčany , she also scored her first goal with the goal to make it 9-0 in the 89th minute against the selection of Lithuania . Since she was never able to qualify with the team for the finals of a European or World Cup, she announced her resignation from the national team after missing the European Championship qualification in autumn 2008. Her last of 50 international matches in the senior team she played on October 29, 2008 in Gubbio in the 1: 2 defeat against the selection of Italy ; she also scored her last goal with the connection goal in the 67th minute.

For the U-19 national team, she played 16 international matches between October 13, 1998 and May 13, 2001 and scored nine goals. Her debut in the 5-0 victory in Passau over the selection of the Hungarians, she crowned with the goal to the interim 2-0 in the 33rd minute.
