Fred Lyssa
Fred Lyssa , born in Alfred Fischer (born August 26, 1883 in Berlin ; † October 17, 1950 in Grünwald ) was a German actor , director and film production manager .
biography
Born in Berlin, Alfred Fischer received language and acting training at the Royal Drama School in Berlin and began his artistic career in 1902 as an actor in Anklam . After the First World War , Fischer chose the pseudonym Fred Lyssa , under whom he returned to the theater in 1919 as office manager and actor (e.g. at Berlin's Sturm-und-Drang stage ).
In parallel, he worked as a manager in such diverse films as the Fridericus Rex -Vierteiler (1920-22), The Oath of Stephan Huller, Part 2 (1921), Vineta (1923), To right and honor (1925), The Escape to the Circus (1926) and The Three No Man's Children and The Golden Abyss (both 1927).
At the beginning of 1928 Lyssa started working as a production manager. In this capacity he worked for a wide variety of production companies. Since 1937 Fred Lyssa has been responsible for the production group leader, during the Second World War in this role for films made on behalf of the Munich production company Bavaria in Prague . At the end of the war he settled in Munich-Grünwald.
