The Greek national football team for women represents Greece in international women's football and is subordinate to the Greek Football Association . The Greek selection is one of the weaker national teams in Europe . In the FIFA world rankings , the team finished 65th in December 2013; the best placement was achieved in September 2008 with 50th place. So far, the Hellenic selection only took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in the Greek capital Athens and for which the team was automatically qualified. Otherwise, the Greek selection has never qualified for a major international tournament.
