Career
society
Chatzigiannidou played in 2004 for Filiriakos Florina , the Greek champions of 2000. She has played for PAOK Saloniki since at least the 2009/10 season and took part in the first round of the UEFA Women's Champions League in the knockout round, where she was English champions Arsenal but twice defeated 0: 9. In qualifying for the 2015/16 UEFA Women's Champions League , she reached the round of 32 with PAOK, in which the team lost two games to Swedish runners-up KIF Örebro . In the group stage, Chatzigiannidou had contributed with two converted penalty kicks that PAOK had made the knockout round for the first time since the 2010/11 season . In total, she has played 18 games in the Champions League in which she scored two goals.
National team
Since Greece was automatically qualified to host the 2004 Olympic Games , Chatzigiannidou was able to take part in the 2004 Olympic Games. The Greeks started in the only group of four and lost all games. The 25-year-old Chatzigiannidou was used in the games against Australia and the USA , but was substituted on or off in the second half. The Greeks could not qualify for further tournaments. In qualifying for the 2005 European Championship , the Greeks started in the B category and thus had no chance to qualify for the finals from the start, but were able to move up to the A category. Even after the distinction between A and B categories was abolished for qualifying for EM 2009 , they could not qualify for the final round. In 2009 they were bottom of the group and penultimate in 2013 without a win. In qualifying for the World Championships, the Greek women regularly failed in the group stage: In 2003 the team started in the B category without a chance to qualify, in 2007 the last place after eight lost games meant relegation to the B category for the European Championship -Qualification 2009, which was then canceled, in 2011 the best result was achieved with third place, had nothing to do with the decision to win the group, as the games against the two best teams were lost and in 2015 only those participating for the first time were able to participate Leaving Albanian women behind. Since the European teams always qualify for the Olympic Games via the World Cup finals, they therefore had no opportunity to participate in an Olympic football tournament again.
As captain of the Greek team, she took part in the vote for the world footballer in 2008 and 2011. In 2014 she voted on which coach or which coach of a women's team would be coach of the year.
In the FIFA list of players with at least 100 international matches published on January 7, 2011, it was led with 97 games. In the list of February 9, 2011, which is no longer available on the Internet, it is mentioned with 101 games, but between January 7 and February 9, 2011 the Greek team did not play any international matches counted by FIFA. After February 9, 2011, it was used in at least 28 games. There are no lineups for eight games. It would have been used in at least 129 international matches - provided the number of 101 international matches on the FIFA list is correct. The Greek women's national team only played 93 international matches, as counted by FIFA, during the period in question, and Chatzigiannidou was not used in at least two of these matches. The Icelandic federation listed her before the game between the Icelanders against the Greeks on June 26, 2008, in which she was not used, with 91 international matches and 8 international goals. Then she was used in 36 games and would have made at least 127 international matches by now. There are no lists for 10 games.
