The 2010/11 UEFA Women's Champions League was the tenth edition of the European championship for women’s football clubs and the second under this name. 51 teams from 43 countries competed for the title. The competition began with the first games of the qualifying round on August 5, 2010 and ended with the final on May 26, 2011 in London at the Craven Cottage Stadium and was won by Olympique Lyon 2-0 against defending champions 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam .

Attendees

43 national champions as well as the runners-up from the eight strongest national associations took part in the 2010/11 UEFA Women's Champions League. The UEFA five-year ranking is used to determine the top eight national associations . The 23 national champions of the strongest national associations receive a bye and only intervene in the competition in the sixteenth finals. The remaining national champions and the eight runners-up must first take part in a qualifying round. In contrast to the previous year, Malta did not report a team.

qualification

The qualification draw took place on June 23, 2010 at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The seven mini-tournaments took place from August 5th to 10th, 2010. The seven group winners qualify for the round of 32. Then there are the two best runners-up in the group, Breiðablik Kópavogur and ŽNK KRKA Novo Mesto (only the games against the first and third in the group are considered here).
