Jennifer "Jenny" Zietz (born September 14, 1983 in Rostock ) is a German soccer coach , former soccer player and national player . The midfielder played for Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam .
Career
Club soccer
Jennifer Zietz began her career at the age of six at BSG Post Rostock . In 1999 she moved to the 1st FFC Turbine Potsdam. With Turbine she was six times German champion and three times DFB Cup winner . She won the DFB Indoor Cup five times and was named the best goalscorer in 2002. The club's greatest successes were winning the UEFA Women's Cup in 2005 and winning the Champions League in 2010. On April 1, 2007, she took over the position of team captain after her predecessor Ariane Hingst moved to the Swedish first division club Djurgården Damfotboll . In May 2012, Zietz tore a cruciate ligament .
At the end of the 2014/15 season , Zietz ended her career.
National team
She played her first international match for the German national team on January 28, 2005 against Australia . With the U-21 national team, she won the Nordic Cup in July 2006 . She scored her first international goal on March 1, 2010 during the Algarve Cup against China in added time. With the national team, Zietz won the European Championship in 2009 , but was not used at the tournament.

In the 2016/17 season, Zietz returned to the 1st FFC Turbine Potsdam as assistant coach under Matthias Rudolph . Then she took over the newly created position of coordinator for competitive sports in the club. She also works for the AOK in Brandenburg as a sports manager.
