Dagmar Damková (born December 29, 1974 in Pilsen ) is a former Czech football referee and language teacher .

life and career

Dagmar Damková began at the age of 14 years football to play. At the age of 21 she decided to become a referee. She is the first woman to lead matches in Czech football competitions for men. In October 2003 she was the first woman to lead a championship game in the Gambrinus League , the top division in the Czech Republic. It was the match between Slovan Liberec and SK Dynamo České Budějovice , which took place in the stadium u Nisy in Liberec . In 2006 she directed the final of the Czech Men's Football Cup between Sparta Prague and Banik Ostrau as well as the final second leg of the UEFA Women's Cup between 1. FFC Frankfurt and 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam .

In the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and 2008 in Beijing led Damková games at the international tournament of the women, including the final of 2008 between the United States and Brazil . In August 2007, she was used as a referee at the Women's World Cup in the People's Republic of China . She headed the semi-finals between the Norwegian and German national teams. In 2009 she was called up for the European women's football championship in Finland in the same year and for the final between England and Germany.

After the 2011 Women's World Cup in Germany , Damková ended her active career as a referee and then became the first female member of the UEFA Referees Committee.
