FK Gintra Universitetas is a Lithuanian women's football club from Šiauliai . The club plays in the A Lyga and has won all championships since 2005. As a result, the club regularly qualifies for the former UEFA Women's Cup and the UEFA Women's Champions League .

history

The hockey clubs "Gintra" Šiauliai and HFTC Šiauliai formed a joint football team in 1999, in which only female hockey players played. In 1999 the team became Lithuanian soccer champions. Later there were individual sponsors of the hockey and soccer teams, and individual clubs emerged. At the end of 2002 the club signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Šiauliai . The team has been called "Gintra Universitetas" since 2003.
