The RTP Unia Racibórz (Raciborskie Towarzystwo Piłkarskie Unia Racibórz) was a women's football club from the Polish city of Racibórz in the Silesian Voivodeship . He was five times Polish champion and three times cup winner.
history
In 2001 a women's team started training at the KP Unia Racibórz association founded in 1946 . This was registered in 2003 to play in the 2nd Polish women's league. In 2005 she was promoted to the first division and in 2007 to the top division, the Ekstraliga Kobiet .
Due to disagreements in the board of directors over the use of financial resources, the men's and women's departments separated in January 2008, which became a pure women's football club as RTP Unia, while the men remained at KP Unia Racibórz.
In the 2008/09 season , RTP Unia was surprisingly ahead of series champion KS AZS Wrocław Polish women's champion and qualified for the new UEFA Women's Champions League . This success was repeated in the 2009/10 , 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons .
RTP Unia owed its rapid rise and remarkable success to the personal and financial commitment of the club's president and head coach Remigiusz Trawiński , whose private stone setting company, as the main sponsor, covered most of the financial requirements. In recognition of this commitment, Trawiński was appointed manager of the Polish women's national football team on January 25, 2011 , but remained loyal to his club in all functions. After the first half of the 2013/14 season , the clubs withdrew their team from league operations and stopped playing.
