The KS AZS Wrocław (complete: Club Środowiskowy Akademicki Związek Sportowy Wrocław ) is a Polish sports club from the Lower Silesian city of Wroclaw .
history
In addition to women's football, the entire club also maintains the fields of basketball , beach volleyball , boxing , speed skating, handball , horse racing , cycling (track and street), rowing , chess , shooting and volleyball . The former Minister of Sport of Poland, Marian Dymalski, has been the club's president since April 2012 , taking over from businessman Boguslaw Fiedor.
Women's soccer
The club is best known for its women's football department. This emerged in 1997 from the women's football section of the AZS-AWF Wrocław club and won the championship without interruption from 2001 to 2008, before being overtaken by RTP Unia Racibórz in 2009 . In the 2006/07 season, the association briefly carried the name of the main sponsor Volksbank (AZS VB Leasing Wrocław) before the Volksbank Group withdrew as a sponsor in December 2012.
Stadion
The women's soccer team has played its home games since 2006 on the sports field of the hotel and leisure complex "GEM" at ul. Baudouina de Courtenay 16 in the Plac Grunwaldzki district in Wroclaw . The square offers space for around 3,000 spectators, including 100 seats.
