Career

Hohlfeld was born in East Berlin and grew up in the Brandenburg town of Caputh . She went through several youth teams of the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . Between 1999 and 2004 she played 13 Bundesliga games, but never got beyond the role of reserve goalkeeper. After Hohlfeld won the German championship and the DFB Cup with Turbine in 2004 , she moved to the Polish first division club KS AZS Wrocław . There she won the championship in 2005 and 2006. After two years in Poland, she moved to FCR 2001 Duisburg , with whom she reached the cup final in 2007. After Kathrin Längert was in goal during the regular season, the then Duisburg coach Thomas Obliers surprisingly changed to Hohlfeld for the penalty shootout , but could not prevent the defeat. In 2008 Hohlfeld moved to the second division club SG Wattenscheid 09 before returning to Potsdam after just one season. In 2011 she ended her career.
