The women's football department of PAOK Thessaloniki has existed since 2001.

history

In 2001 PAOK Thessaloniki founded a new department for women's football, into which they integrated the club Olympiada Thessaloniki 96 , which had been suspended for financial and sporting reasons . The newly founded team adapted the name PAOK Thessaloniki . Since Olympiada 96 was already in the top Greek league, the new team took over their eligibility. In the 2001/02 season, the first season for the team, they immediately managed to win the championship. This was followed by other titles; meanwhile the club provides the most successful women's team in Greece.
