history

The club was founded in 1927 as the Sporting Club Bettemburg . After the German occupation of Luxembourg in 1940, it was renamed FK 1927 Bettembourg . In 1944 it was renamed.

Men's soccer

In the seasons 1947/48 and 1972/73 Sporting Bettemburg belonged for one season each to the highest Luxembourg league, the national division . After relegation in 1973, the club shuttled between the honorary doctorate and the fourth-class 2nd division.
