Lillestrøm SK Kvinner is a women's football club from the Norwegian city of Lillestrøm . The first team plays in the highest Norwegian league Toppserien .
history
The roots of the association lie with the Setskog IK association, which in 1987 was a founding member of the single-track top series. On October 10, 1989, the club changed its name to Setskog / Høland FK. The 1992 season was the club's most successful. First the runner-up was celebrated, then they beat the master Asker SK 3-0 in the cup final. In 1995, the runner-up could be celebrated again. A year later the club was almost relegated. After the 2000 season, the club changed its name again and has been called Team Strømmen FK since then. In the following years they mostly occupied places in the midfield. In 2005 the club was runner-up for the third time. Team Strømmen FK finished the 2006 season in fourth place. Since January 1, 2010, the team has been running under the name Lillestrøm SK Kvinner .
For the 2007 season, the former national player Hege Riise took over as coach. In 2012, Lillestrøm secured the championship for the first time on the penultimate matchday. In 2014, Lillestrøm secured the championship for the second time on the final day of the match, beating last year's champions Stabæk FK 3-0 at home. Then the club won the championship again five times in a row. The national cup has been won in six seasons so far.
The club plays its home games in the LSK halls (2,300 seats).
