The Czechoslovak women's national soccer team represented Czechoslovakia in international women's soccer and played 28 games between 1986 and 1992. The national team was subordinate to the Czechoslovak Football Association. On February 23, 1968, a Czechoslovakian had already played an unofficial international match. In terms of sport, she was one of the average strong teams and could never qualify for the finals of a major tournament. The greatest success was reaching the quarter-finals of the European Championship in 1989 , where after a 1-1 draw in the first leg they lost the second leg against eventual European champions Germany 2-0. The Czechoslovak team was the only one that played a game against the GDR women's national team . After the division of Czechoslovakia, FIFA now includes the matches of Czechoslovakia in both the statistics of Slovakia and the statistics of the Czech Republic . After the split, both teams competed against each other in their first two games.
