The 1984 European Football Championship for women ( English : UEFA Women's Championship ) was the first playout of the European continental championship in women's football and was played from April 8 to May 27 without a host country in a pure knockout system with back and forth Second leg played.
Sweden became the first European champions in women's football after beating England on penalties in the final .
qualification
The German women's national football team failed in qualification group 4. The team played against Denmark 1: 1 and 0: 1, against the Netherlands 1: 1 and 2: 2 and against Belgium twice 1: 1.
