Karel Rada (born March 2, 1971 in Karlsbad ) is a former Czech football player .

Career

Rada's youth clubs were Sokol Stráž u Tachova, UD Tachov and Škoda Pilsen . He made his first division debut in 1990/91 for Dukla Prague . In the 1992/93 game year, the 187 cm tall defender became a regular player.

In 1994 Rada moved to Sigma Olomouc , where he was a fixture in defense for three seasons. In 1996 Rada took part in the European Championship in England , where the Czech team became vice European champions.

In the summer of 1997, the Turkish first division side Trabzonspor signed him , which he left in early 1999. Rada signed with Slavia Prague . In 2000 he was part of the squad for the European Championships in Belgium and Holland .

In 2001 he went to Eintracht Frankfurt , for which he played 11 games in his first season. The following year, in the 2nd Bundesliga, Rada made 27 appearances. In the summer of 2002 he asked to terminate his contract and went to FK Teplice . After 109 games in four years, Rada moved to the then second division Bohemians 1905 Prague at the end of July 2006 , with whom he made promotion to the Gambrinus League .

After the 2007/08 season, which ended with the relegation of Bohemians in 1905 to the 2nd division, Rada ended his career.
