Lena Lotzen (born September 11, 1993 in Würzburg ) is a German soccer player . She is under contract with 1. FC Köln .

Career

Lotzen began playing football at the age of five at TG Höchberg (together with boys), then moved to JFG Kreis Würzburg Süd-West (male youth) and was signed by FC Bayern Munich for the 2010/11 season. On August 15, 2010 (1st matchday) she made her debut in a 2-0 win in the away game against Herford SV ; she scored her first Bundesliga goal on November 28, 2010 (15th matchday) in the 1: 2 defeat in the away game against FCR 2001 Duisburg with the next goal in the 86th minute. With FC Bayern Munich she won the Bundesliga Cup on May 21, 2011 - as part of the World Cup bridging tournament . On May 12, 2012, she won the DFB Cup in Cologne with FC Bayern 2-0 against the favored 1. FFC Frankfurt . On August 14, 2014 Lotzen tore a cruciate ligament while training and was out for 8 months. She made her comeback on March 29, 2015 when she was substituted on in the 57th minute of the 2-1 win against SC Sand . In 2015 she won the German championship with the Munich women .

On May 25, 2018, she announced her move to league rivals SC Freiburg for the 2018/19 season .

On March 25, 2020, she was signed by 1. FC Köln from the 2020/21 season and given a contract valid until June 30, 2022.

National team

Lotzen previously played in the Bavarian national teams before making her debut on April 16, 2008 in the U-15 national team in Bisham Abbey in a 4-1 victory over England. The debut for the U-16 national team on April 23, 2009 in Castelfranco di Sotto in the 4-1 victory over Scotland, she crowned with her first three international goals . With the U-16 national team, she took part in the Nordic Cup in Sweden from June 29 to July 4, 2009 and, after winning over the Netherlands, against which she contributed two goals to the 3-0 win, Iceland (6 : 0) and Norway (2: 1) into the final, which was lost 1: 2 against the selection of the host.

With two goals in the tournament finals (8: 1 against Norway) and five in total, she contributed to winning the European Championship.

On October 25, 2011, she stood for the U-20 national team for the first time in the 4-0 win against Belgium and scored her first goal in this age group with the goal, which made it 1-0. In 2012 she was in the starting line-up in all games of the U-20 World Cup in Japan. In the final against the United States, the team lost 1-0 after triumphing 3-0 in the group stage . Lotzen scored two goals in the success in the group stage. In the quarter-finals against Norway, she also scored twice. Due to the injury-related loss of Martina Müller , Lotzen was nominated for the first time for the senior national team on February 25, 2012 , which played for the Algarve Cup from February 29 to March 7, 2012 . In the first tournament game against the Icelandic selection , she made her debut when she came on in the 79th minute for Alexandra Popp . She won the tournament with the team 4: 3 in the final against the reigning world champion Japan .

At the European Championship held in Sweden from July 10 to 28, 2013 , she played all tournament games. She scored her first international goal on July 14th in the second group game in a 3-0 win against Iceland, with the goal to make it 1-0 in the 24th minute.
