Career

Sanders started playing football at TSV Neuenkirchen at the age of four . After a one-year stopover at JFV A / O / Heeslingen , she switched to the youth department of Werder Bremen in 2013, with whose B-Juniors she competed in the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga from 2013 to 2015 . In 2014/15 she was season winner North / Northeast and after a 1: 3 defeat in the final against the 1st FFC Turbine Potsdam German runner-up. She has been part of the Bundesliga team since the 2015/16 season and made her Bundesliga debut on August 30, 2015 (1st matchday) in the home game against 1. FC Köln . In the 6-2 victory of her team, she immediately scored her first two Bundesliga goals with the goals for 2: 2 and 5: 2.

National team

Since her debut for the U-15 national team in October 2012, Sanders has regularly been part of the German junior team and has proven to be very accurate in her missions: in 26 missions so far (as of July 1, 2015), she has made 28 appearances. In 2014 she won the Nordic Cup with the U-16 national team , after having played with the U-17 national team at the U-17 World Cup in Costa Rica in March of the same year, where she was substituted on in two group matches. The following year she also reached the semi-finals with the U-17 national team at the European Championships in Iceland , where however the Swiss selection had to be defeated 0: 1. With six goals scored, Sanders secured the title of top scorer in this tournament. In August 2015 she was appointed to the squad of the U-19 national team for the first time by coach Maren Meinert for the first qualifying round for the 2016 European Championship .
