Greta Elisabeth Stegemann (born February 12, 2001 in Böblingen ) is a German soccer player .

Career

societies

In the summer of 2016, Stegemann and her teammate Ivana Fuso from SV Böblingen , for whom she was active for ten years, moved to the youth department of SC Freiburg . At the Freiburg women she was initially part of the U-17 junior squad and competed with them in the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga Süd . From the 2017/18 season , the first appearances for the second team of Freiburg followed, for which they made their debut on November 5, 2017 (6th matchday) in a 1-1 draw against 1. FC Köln II in the 2nd Bundesliga South . After playing in the DFB Cup , she played for the first time in the Bundesliga on February 24, 2018 (16th match day) in a 2-0 home win against FC Bayern Munich . She has been an integral part of the Bundesliga team since the 2018/19 season.

National team

The defensive player celebrated her debut in the national jersey on April 27, 2016 in the 3: 3 for the U-15 national team against the Netherlands. After two appearances for the U-16 national team , the first assignment for the U-17 national team followed in January 2017 . For the 2017 European Championship , she was initially part of the German team, but had to cancel her participation after an ankle injury she suffered in the preparatory course. On March 22, 2018, she scored her first goal for a national selection as part of qualifying for the U-17 European Championship in Lithuania . After successfully completing the qualification, she was used in two group games, the semi-finals and the final, which was lost 2-0 to Spain. At the U-17 World Cup in Uruguay , Stegemann was also part of the German squad, but suffered another ankle injury in the second group game against Cameroon and was unable to play the rest of the tournament.
