Luisa Wensing (born February 8, 1993 in Goch ) is a German soccer player . She has been playing for Bundesliga club SC Freiburg since 2020 .

Career

Taken with her twin brother to training, Wensing started playing soccer at Rheinwacht Erfgen at the age of five and played with boys for the club up to the age of 15, before joining the youth department of FCR 2001 Duisburg in summer 2008 . With the U-17 team she reached the final of the 2009 B-Junior Championship , which was lost to 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam on penalties . Since 2009/10 she has been part of the squad of the Bundesliga club FCR 2001 Duisburg, for which she made her debut on October 17, 2009 (5th matchday), in a 2-2 draw at home against 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. In her first season she played 17 out of 22 games, including the following season, with her first Bundesliga goal being 3-0 on November 21, 2010 (14th matchday) in a 5-1 win in the away game against Hamburger SV . In summer 2012 she moved to league rivals VfL Wolfsburg and made her debut in the VfL jersey on September 23, 2012 . In the very first season she won the triple with VfL and became German champion in 2013 for the first time , DFB Cup winner in 2013 and UEFA Champions League winner: 2013. From the 2018/19 season, she played for SV Werder for two years Bremen . For the 2020/21 season, Wensing is moving to SC Freiburg .

National team

On April 16, 2008, she made her debut in the U-15 national team , which defeated England 4-1 in Bisham Abbey. Up to August 22, 2008, four more missions followed, on that day, in a 5-1 victory over Russia, scored her first international goal with the 1-0 goal .

On April 11, 2009 she made her debut in the U-17 national team , which defeated Hungary 6-0 in Sopron / Hungary. From June 22nd to 25th, 2009 she took part in the U-17 European Championship in Nyon / Switzerland, at the end of which the European Championship was held.

At the European Championship in Sweden from July 10 to 28, 2013 , she was in the squad of the German national football team , but was only used in the third group game against Norway and was European champion 2013 at the end of the tournament. With the goal, the final score 4-0 in the 80th minute in the World Cup qualifier against the selection of Croatia , she scored her first international goal .

On March 6, 2015, she broke her fibula in stoppage time in the game against China at the 2015 Algarve Cup .
