Stephanie Goddard (born February 15, 1988 in Rinteln , Lower Saxony ) is a German soccer player . The striker plays for Bundesliga club Werder Bremen (women's football) .
Career
Stephanie Goddard was born to an English father and a German mother in Rinteln and grew up in Gütersloh- Avenwedde . In 1996 she joined the SV Avenwedde E-Youth. After the D-Jugend, she switched to the girls' team at FC Gütersloh 2000 in 2000 . In 2002 she became German champions with the B-Juniors. A year later she made her debut in the U-15 national team .
Since 2004 she has been part of the first team and has become one of the most successful goal scorers in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2005/06 season she scored eleven goals and was runner-up with the team. She turned down an offer from Bundesliga club SC 07 Bad Neuenahr because she wanted to finish her school first. At the end of 2006 she became a permanent fixture in the U-19 national team . On October 1, 2006, she scored four goals in the European Championship qualifier against Austria.
At the beginning of 2007 she was voted “Sportswoman of the year in the Gütersloh district” by the readers of the Neue Westfälische daily newspaper . After the 2006/07 season she left FC Gütersloh 2000. You had an offer from the Swedish first division club Djurgården Damfotboll . However, she turned down this offer and announced on May 1, 2007 her move to FCR 2001 Duisburg . With the U-19 selection, she became European champion in July 2007. In 2009 she moved to SG Essen-Schönebeck.
She took part in the 2009 Summer Universiade in Belgrade with the adh 's national student team.

Private
Stephanie Goddard attended the Janusz Korczak Comprehensive School in Gütersloh . At the end of April 2007 she obtained her Abitur there , after which she started studying special education at the TU Dortmund .
