Sjoeke Nüsken (born January 22, 2001 in Hamm ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Country and regional selections

Until she was eleven, Nüsken was considered the best German tennis player of her year before she concentrated on football. At the age of 14, she was appointed to the U-14 Westphalian team, for which she played three games in the regional cup. Eight games for the U-16s and four games for the U-18 Westphalia selection followed, also in the regional cup. In 2017 she played a game for the U-17 of FSV Gütersloh 2009 . With a special permit, she played in the A-Junior National League for SV Westfalia Rhynern until the end of the 2018/19 season.

At the end of April 2019, she received a contract with the seven-time champions 1. FFC Frankfurt for the 2019/20 season , which is dated until June 30, 2022. On September 15, 2019, she had her first Bundesliga appearance in the game against FF USV Jena , where she came on for Laura Störzel . On October 13, 2019, she was in the Bundesliga team for the first time. On October 27, 2019, she scored her first Bundesliga goal with the winning goal to make it 2-1 at MSV Duisburg .

National team

Nüsken made her debut in the national jersey on October 28, 2015 at the age of 14: In the 5-1 victory of the U-15 national team against Scotland, she was substituted on in the 52nd minute. Two days later she was in the starting line-up against the same opponent and scored her first goal in the 6-0 win in the first minute of the game, but was already substituted in the 36th minute. The game on April 27, 2016 against the U-15 of the Netherlands was their only U-15 game over the full distance, scoring their second international goal.

In July 2016 she took part in the Nordic Cup with the U-16 national team and achieved second place behind Norway with the team. She scored her only goal for the U-16 team in a 9-0 win against Finland.

On August 28, 2016, she made her debut in the U-17 national team at the U-17 four-nation tournament in Austria and scored the last goal in a 6-0 win against Romania. The German team won the tournament with further victories against Switzerland and Austria. In October she took part with the team in Latvia in the first qualifying round for the U-17 European Championship , where the team won against Latvia (6-0), Wales (6-0 with two goals from Nüsken) and Turkey ( 4-0) reached the second round. This was played in England in March 2017 and with wins against Italy (3: 1) and Poland (4: 0) as well as a defeat against England (1: 2), Germany reached the finals in the Czech Republic as the best runner-up in the group . Here Germany prevailed in the group stage with wins against Spain (4: 1 with a goal from Nüsken to the final score), France (2: 1) and the Czech Republic (5: 1). As group winners, the team met Norway in the semi-finals. Since it was 1: 1 after 80 minutes, there was a penalty shoot-out, which Germany won 3-2. Nüsken scored the goal to make it 2-2. In the final, Spain was the opponent again and after 80 minutes without a goal there was another penalty shoot-out. This was won 3: 1. Nüsken played the full distance in all five games. In total, she played 20 games for the U-17 team.

In September 2017, she made her debut in the U-19 team at the qualifying tournament in Iceland in the first round for the 2018 European Women's Under-19 Football Championship . It was used in the 8-0 win against Montenegro and 1-0 against Iceland. The second round was reached by another victory against Kosovo. In the second round, which was successfully concluded in April 2018 with a mini-tournament in Slovakia, it was used in an 8-0 win against the hosts and in a 3-2 win against England. She was not nominated for the final round in July 2018, in which Germany lost 1-0 to Spain in the final.

Instead, it was used for the first time on July 24, 2018 in the U-20 team, which defeated the Netherlands 5-1 in a preparatory game for the U-20 World Cup . At the World Cup in France in August , she was used in the 1-0 in the first group match against Nigeria and in the 2-0 in the second group match against China, as well as in the quarter-finals, which were lost 3-1 to eventual world champions Japan .

In October 2018 she took part again with the U-19 team in the first qualifying round for the U-19 European Women's Football Championship in 2019 . She scored six goals in the 21-0 win against Estonia, the highest victory of a German women's national team. She also scored in the 6-0 win against Kosovo and three goals in the 7-0 win against Northern Ireland. With the three victories, the team reached the elite round that took place in April 2019, in which Germany had home rights. Nüsken was used in the three games - against Greece as captain - and contributed two goals - the first goal each against Greece and the Czech Republic - to the tournament victory with which the team qualified for the finals in July in Scotland . With 12 goals she was the top scorer in the qualification. In the finals she could not be used due to injury.

In December 2018, she appointed the new national trainer Martina Voss-Tecklenburg for the first time to the senior national team for the winter training camp from January 14 to 21, 2019 in Marbella . It was then not taken into account for the following international matches.

In October 2019 she took part with the U-19 team in the first qualifying round for the U-19 European Women's Football Championship in 2020 .
