The 2005 DFB Women's Cup was won by the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . The Potsdam women confidently defended their title. As in the previous year, they won the final against 1. FFC Frankfurt 3-0. In the first round, two top division teams, FCR 2001 Duisburg and Hamburger SV , were eliminated from lower-class teams in a competition with few surprises . From the quarter-finals, the Bundesliga clubs were among themselves. For the last time, second teams were allowed to take part in the DFB Cup.
