Navina Omilade-Keller (born November 3, 1981 in Mönchengladbach as Navina Omilade ) is a former German soccer player . The midfielder was active in the Bundesliga from 1998 to 2013 and for the senior national team from 2001 to 2010 . After stints in Brauweiler and Potsdam , she last played in Wolfsburg . Omilade is now involved with the over 35 team at FC Bayern Munich , which she "launched" in 2017.
Career

Omilade started playing soccer in 1987. She played with boys at Rot-Weiß Hockstein until she was 13 . Her first steps in girls' football took place at FSC Mönchengladbach . It was there that she was discovered for her later DFB appearances.
At the age of 16 she moved to the Bundesliga club FFC Brauweiler Pulheim and played for this club for four years. From 2002 she played at 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam and won numerous titles. In summer 2007 she was looking for a new challenge and moved to league rivals VfL Wolfsburg . On May 30, 2013, she ended her professional career.

In 2006 Navina Omilade became the patron of the touring exhibition "BallWork - Scenes from Soccer and Migration" by the project group Floodlight. In the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008, Omilade was an ambassador to Germany. The aim of the European Commission's campaign was to inform people in all 27 EU countries about the benefits of diversity and to inspire them to engage in intercultural exchange. In 2008 she also took over the patronage of the competition “Giving impetus - organ donation gives life”.
Omilade has been involved in Show Racism the Red Card -Deutschland eV since 2013. In March, she took part in a workshop organized by the educational initiative and reported to the students about her own experiences with racism and discrimination .
In July 2014 she founded the sports management agency mainsoccer GmbH together with her former team colleague Conny Pohlers . Mainsoccer was an agency exclusively for women's football and looked after players and clubs. At the same time, she was still working in marketing at the parent company. In 2016 she moved to the Bavarian Football Association and worked there in the women's and girls' department until January 2020. Omilade has been working in sports marketing for IKK Nord since February 2020 and is responsible for the numerous sports cooperations of the health insurance company. IKK Nord is the health partner of the second division soccer team Holstein Kiel, the second division handball team VfL Lübeck-Schwartau and the upper division ice hockey team Rostock Piranhas.
