Men

history

In recent years, the FSV Jägersburg established itself in the Saarland League . Under coach Marco Emich, who has been in office since 2002, he was promoted to the league on the last match day of the 2014/15 season. After the 2016/17 season, Emich resigned his position as coach and switched to SV 07 Elversberg for the new season, where he has been coaching the U23s since then. His successor is the previous trainer of the reserve and ex-professional Thorsten Lahm. Under Thorsten Lahm they played the best season in the club's history so far, despite considerable starting difficulties, and were able to secure relegation early on. In 2019 Viktoria was relegated to the Saarland League again.

The new coach of the first team from the 2019/20 season is Tim Harenberg.

Women

history

In 1969, two years before the official recognition of women's football by the DFB , a women's football team was founded in Jägersburg. In the first few years only friendly matches were played. They were unbeaten in 48 games for two years. In 1979 the team rose to the district league. After three runners-up titles, they were able to celebrate promotion to the regional league, at that time the top division, in 1983. Five times they became runner-up and always had to give way to VfR 09 Saarbrücken . After all, you could win the Saarland Cup in 1986 and 1987. In the DFB-Pokal both times they were in the quarter-finals.

When the Bundesliga was founded in 1990 , the FSV was not involved. You became champion of the Saarland three times and you took part in the promotion round four times. However, it was not enough for the ascent. In 1996 you were one of the founding members of the Oberliga Südwest, from which you had to relegate three years later. Immediate resurgence was achieved. In 2001 Patricia Brocker returned as a player-coach. A total of three times they were runner-up. In 2004 they were one of the founding members of the 2nd Bundesliga. In the first season the FSV managed to stay in the league. They benefited from the many goals of the player-coach and 46-time national player Patricia Brocker (née Grigoli). After the season Brocker switched to the coaching position. With only one win they rose in the 2005/06 season in the Regionalliga Südwest.

Although the direct resurgence was missed, the resurgence was celebrated in 2008. With 14 points ahead of the second team of SC 07 Bad Neuenahr , the team returned to the second division. After a season, however, the direct relegation followed. In 2015 the FSV Viktoria was relegated to the Association League. For the 2015/16 season, no more women's teams were registered for the game, so the traditional women's football in Jägersburg is over for the time being.
