The 2002 DFB Women's Cup was again won by 1. FFC Frankfurt . For the fourth time in a row the Hessians were successful. In the final there was a clear 5-0 win against Hamburger SV . Birgit Prinz scored three goals. In the first round, 1. FFC Frankfurt improved the record for the highest victory in the women's DFB Cup. The Karlsruher SC was charged with 20: 0 defeat. The draw had another curiosity ready: there were two internal duels. The first team prevailed both at the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam and at SC 07 Bad Neuenahr .
