The draw for the first round was made on July 7, 2007. The tickets were drawn by the former national coach Tina Theune-Meyer . The game will be played on September 1st and 2nd, 2007. The first round featured two favorite falls. Bundesliga relegated FFC Brauweiler Pulheim 2000 lost 0-1 at VfR 07 Limburg (Oberliga Hessen). Second division promoted FFC Oldesloe 2000 had to admit defeat by the regional division Mellendorfer TV 2: 3. Otherwise, the higher-class teams prevailed.

2nd round

The second round games were played on October 20 and 21, 2007. The games were drawn on September 7, 2007. In the top game in Essen there was a new edition of the previous year's semi-finals. Round of 16

The round of 16 games were drawn on October 29, 2007 and played on November 25, 2007. For the surprise team from Limburg, after a 2-0 defeat against TuS Köln rrh. Final destination. Bad Neuenahr and Potsdam played a dramatic match in the top game of the round of 16. The Rhinelander took the lead three times, but the "turbines" were able to equalize each time. Quarter finals

The quarter-finals were drawn on November 29, 2007 by Matthias Sammer and Reinhard Rauball . The game was played on December 16, 2007. Defending champion Frankfurt prevailed in the top game against their eternal rivals from Potsdam. Otherwise, the goal women were the focus: Both Munich's Ulrike Schmetz and Cologne's Corinna Ernst parried three penalties each.

Semifinals

The semi-finals were drawn by Melanie Behringer on January 12, 2008 as part of the DFB Indoor Cup . On Easter Sunday , March 23, 2008, the second division TuS Köln rrh met. and 1. FC Saarbrücken on each other. In front of 2,800 spectators, Saarbrücken's captain Nadine Keßler brought her colors into the lead after just two minutes. Four minutes after the start of the second half, Keßler was again on the spot and increased to 2-0. With the victory, the Saarland women reached the cup final for the first time.

On Easter Monday there was a Bundesliga duel between Bayern Munich and the defending champion 1. FFC Frankfurt. 2,500 viewers in the sold-out Sportpark Aschheim followed the game, which was broadcast live on television by the Hessian and Bavarian radio . Conny Pohlers made a 2-0 half-time lead with her goals in the 11th and 45th minutes. Petra Wimbersky (69th) and Sandra Smisek (90th) scored the other goals to make it 4-0. In the final, two completely different teams faced each other. While the outsider from Saarbrücken, with an average age of 19, is the youngest team in the Bundesliga, the Frankfurt squad is peppered with experienced national players. For this reason, the Frankfurt women were a clear favorite.

After just 70 seconds, the first goal of the game fell on the Frankfurt side. After a shot by Kerstin Garefrekes, Natalie Budge cleared the situation. While the TV pictures showed that the ball was already behind the line, the referee team decided to continue playing. Saarbrücken had its first chance two minutes later. After a diagonal pass from Nadine Kraus, the ball came to Budge, who netted to take the lead from a short distance. In the twelfth minute, Birgit Prinz is fouled in the penalty area by Josephine Henning. Romina Holz was able to save Renate Lingor's penalty. After 22 minutes, the favorite equalized.
