Ulrike Schmetz (born October 30, 1979 ), nickname Uli , is a former German soccer player . The goalkeeper played from 1997 to 2009 for the Munich clubs FC Wacker , FFC Wacker and FC Bayern , for the latter nine years in the Bundesliga and once in the senior national team . Her main occupation is senior anesthesiologist.

Via the youth clubs SV Puch and TSV Fürstenfeldbruck-West , Schmetz came to the association league club FC Wacker Munich, whose women's football department broke up in 1999 and renamed itself FFC Wacker Munich . After its premiere season, Schmetz rose to the Oberliga Bayern in 1998. 2000/01 she was committed by the Bundesliga promoted FC Bayern Munich , for whom she made her debut on December 3, 2000 (7th matchday) in the 3-5 home defeat against FFC Brauweiler-Pulheim . From 2004 to the end of her career in 2010, she played four Bayern league, two regional league, 115 Bundesliga and two DFB Cup games for Bayern. She played her last Bundesliga game on December 12, 2009 (12th matchday) in a 2-0 win in the away game at SG Essen-Schönebeck .

National team

Member of the senior national team since 2005, Schmetz played her only international match on October 25, 2006 in Aalen in a 5-1 win over England's national team .
