Romina Holz (born January 27, 1988 in Saarbrücken ) is a former German soccer player . The goalkeeper played most of her career for 1. FC Saarbrücken .

Career

Holz has played with the 1. FC Saarbrücken youth team since 1998. In 2007 she was promoted to the Bundesliga with her team. The following season she was in the final of the DFB Cup . In the 12th minute she was able to parry a penalty from Renate Lingor , but Saarbrücken was defeated 1: 5 against 1. FFC Frankfurt . With Saarbrücken she was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2008 and back to the Bundesliga a year later. For the 2009/10 season she moved to SC 07 Bad Neuenahr. There she stayed 560 minutes without conceding a goal at the start of the season. In July 2010 she returned to the goal of FC Saarbrücken and ended her football career a year later. Then she was active as a handball player at HSV Püttlingen .

National team

Holz played her first international junior match on April 7, 2005 against Russia in Troisdorf. In 2006 , Holz became European champion with the U-19 national team. At the U-20 World Cup in Russia in 2006 , she reached the quarter-finals.
