Lisa Schwab (born May 30, 1989 in Höhfröschen ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Schwab began her career at FC Fehrbach. In 2005 she moved to the then second division club 1. FC Saarbrücken . In the 2006/07 season, she and her team made it to the Bundesliga and, with 20 goals this season, took third place in the second league south's top scorer list. On April 19, 2008 she was with 1. FC Saarbrücken in the final of the DFB Cup , which was lost 1: 5 against 1. FFC Frankfurt . For the 2009/10 season she moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen , with whom she was promoted to the Bundesliga in the 2010/11 season. The striker ended her career after eight years and 143 league games for Leverkusen after the 2016/2017 season due to an injury.

National team

Schwab went through all junior selections of the German Football Association . With the U-17 national team she won the Nordic Cup in 2005 . In 2007 she was European champion with the U-19 national team in Iceland. At the U-19 European Championships in France in 2008 , she failed with the German team in the semi-finals against Norway (3: 5 nE). In the same year she took part with the U-20 national team at the World Cup in Chile , where the team took third place. Most recently she was a member of the U-23 national team until 2012 , for which she made her debut on July 1, 2009.
