history

The football department of ASV Bergedorf 85 decided on June 19, 2009 to part with their old club and to merge with the newly founded FC Bergedorf 85 by a notarized contract. Both the men's and the women's team of the club took over the places of the ASV teams in the fifth-class Oberliga Hamburg and northern relay of the third-class women's regional league .

The club had its most successful year in the 2011/12 season, when both teams won the runner-up in their respective classes. At the end of the 2012/13 season, the men's team had to accept relegation to the sixth-class Landesliga Hamburg . A year later, the 85s were passed through to the district league, from which they returned to the state league in 2015. The women's team was runner-up behind SV Henstedt-Ulzburg in 2015 . In December 2016, the club canceled its first women's team and is therefore the first relegated team for the 2016/2017 season.
