Jessica Wich (born July 14, 1990 in Kronach ) is a German soccer player . The striker has been under contract with Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen since the 2014/15 season .

Career

Jessica Wich began her career at the age of six at SV Höfles / Vogtendorf. In the C-youth she moved to TSF Theisenort and then to SV Reitsch. In the summer of 2006 she joined the second division SC Regensburg , for whom she scored four goals this season. After a year in Regensburg, Wich moved to Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. On August 26, 2007, she scored her first Bundesliga goal against SG Wattenscheid 09 . On January 12, 2008, she won her first national title with the DFB Indoor Cup . In her first Bundesliga season she scored 13 goals and was the most successful goalscorer of her team. A year later she won the DFB indoor cup and the German championship again with Turbine. For the 2011/12 season she and her teammate Marie-Louise Bagehorn from Potsdam signed a contract with league rivals Hamburger SV . After HSV withdrew from the women's Bundesliga after the 2011/12 season, Wich moved to 1. FFC Frankfurt and signed a three-year contract there. In 2014 she won the DFB Cup with Frankfurt . On May 20, 2014, Bayer 04 Leverkusen announced that Wich had signed up for the 2014/15 season .

National team

On August 29, 2005, she made her debut in the U-15 national team. In the game against Scotland she scored three goals alone. With the U-17 national team, she took third place at the Nordic Cup in 2006 and 2007. In 2008 she reached the semi-finals with the U-19 national team at the U-19 European Championships in France, and in 2010 she was the German U-20 world champion in her own country.

Jessica Wich attended the Lucas-Cranach Elementary School in Kronach, Bavaria. Then she first switched to the Gottfried Neukam elementary school in Kronach and then to the private business school in Lichtenfels. After graduating from high school in Potsdam, she began training as a real estate agent .
