Bettina Karoline Heinze (born October 15, 1993 in Karlsruhe ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

societies

Heinze started playing soccer with the E-Juniors of SG VfB / Empor Glauchau in West Saxony. Later she moved to the sports high school in Chemnitz , played for DFC Westsachsen Zwickau and trained with the boys from Chemnitzer FC . In 2008 she switched to the youth team of the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam , attended the local sports school "Friedrich Ludwig Jahn" and twice won the German soccer championship of the B-Juniors . In the 2009/10 season she played in the second team of Turbine Potsdam in the 2nd Bundesliga North . For the 2010/11 season she came to FF USV Jena , for which she made her debut in the Bundesliga on August 15, 2010 at the age of 16 . During the season she quickly became a regular player. After three years in Jena, she moved to the USA to study. There she studies at the University of Central Florida and also plays for the Women's Soccer Team Knights, where she was the third German U-20 national player in the Knights team alongside Lena Petermann and Sophie Howard . In January 2015 she returned to FF USV Jena. On January 23, 2015, she signed a contract until June 30, 2015. After her second 3½ years, she left FF USV Jena again and signed a 2-year contract with Allianz-Frauen-Bundesliga- on June 12, 2018 Promoted Bayer 04 Leverkusen . She ended her career after the 2019/20 season.

National team

With the U-17 national team Heinze took part in the 2010 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago, but only came to one use in the tournament.

On October 16, 2011, Karoline Heinze made her debut in the U-19 national team . For the 2nd European Championship qualification round (March 27 to April 6, 2012 in Sweden) for the U-19 European Championship 2012 in Turkey, Karoline Heinze received the appointment of DFB trainer Maren Meinert . Germany missed the qualification for the tournament, but Heinze was appointed to the German squad for the U-20 World Cup in Japan in the summer of the same year . There she came to a tournament in the group game against the United States and was runner-up with the team after a final defeat - again against the USA.

Personal

After graduating from high school in the summer of 2013, Heinze initially planned to study medicine at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena , but then decided to study sports journalism , which she began in August 2013 at the University of Central Florida in Orlando . In January 2015 she broke off her studies in the USA and continued her medical studies at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. Heinze is currently studying sports management and communication science there.
