Antonia Pia Anna Göransson (born September 16, 1990 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish football player .

Career

societies

Göransson began her football career at Sjöbo IF . From there she moved to the youth division of LdB FC Malmö . Since she could not prevail there, she moved to league rivals Kristianstads DFF in summer 2008 . Here the young national player made her debut in Damallsvenskan and made three short appearances as a substitute. In the following two years she became a regular force and scored 25 goals in 35 league games. On August 24, 2010 she moved to Hamburger SV in the German women's Bundesliga . In the 2010/11 season she finished fourth, the best placement in the club's history. At the end of the season, her contract ran out and Göransson moved for three years to 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam, with whom she won the German championship in 2012. In the summer of 2014, she left Potsdam for the Swedish first division club Vittsjö GIK . For the 2016 season, Göransson moved to Seattle Reign FC , but left it again in March 2016 due to an injury without having played a league game. Shortly after the start of the 2019/20 season , she joined the German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen .

National team

Göransson was with the U-19 national team Vice-European Champion at the European Championships 2009 and took part in the U-20 World Cup 2010 in Germany. This aroused the interest of senior national coach Thomas Dennerby , who appointed her to the national team for the first time in March 2010 . In the 4-0 win over Wales with goals from Nilla Fischer , Linnea Liljegärd , Anna Paulson and Jessica Landström , however, she was not used. On October 26, 2010 she came to her first appearance in a 3-1 win against Norway . She is also nominated for the 2011 World Cup as the youngest player in the Swedish squad . In the last group game she was substituted on in the 65th minute. By beating the USA , their team met Australia as group winners in the quarter-finals and won 3-1. The semi-finals against Japan ended with the opposite result, in which she was substituted on in the 75th minute, but could not turn the game around. On July 16, 2011, she and the team won the game for third place in the 2-1 victory over France .

On February 29, 2012, she scored her first international goal in the Algarve Cup game against China .

In 2012 she was used in 15 of 16 international matches and was also in the Swedish squad for the 2012 Olympic Games . There she came to short stakes in three games.

She was the only Bundesliga player in the squad for the 2013 European Championship finals and played in four games until she was eliminated in the semi-finals. Only against Italy it was not used.
