Jessica Landström (born December 12, 1984 in Nacka ) is a Swedish football player . The offensive player made her debut in 2007 for the Swedish national team . From 2010 to 2012 she played in the German women's Bundesliga at 1. FFC Frankfurt . She last played for Göteborg FC in 2013 .
Career
Landström started playing football at Lira Luleå BK . About the youth of Vallentuna BK and Täby FF came midfielder and striker in 2001 to Djurgården Damfotboll in the Damallsvenskan . With the club she won the Swedish championship title in 2003 and 2004 and the Swedish national cup in 2004 .
In 2005, Landström moved to Hammarby IF within the league . At her new club, she impressed with her good performances and was appointed to the senior national team for the first time by Thomas Dennerby in autumn 2007 . Her debut on November 8 of that year against the Danish national team was crowned with a goal. A short time later she announced her move to Linköpings FC . At her new club, she established herself as a regular goal scorer. Dennerby then nominated her for the Swedish national team for the 2008 Olympic Games . With her club Landström moved into the cup final, which was won by a goal by Josefine Öqvist with a 1-0 win after extra time against champions Umeå IK . In the new edition of the game on the occasion of the Supercup at the beginning of the following year, Landström scored the decisive goal for the 1-0 success.
In November 2009 she moved to the American professional league Women's Professional Soccer for Sky Blue FC , which she left after a short time and moved to 1. FFC Frankfurt , with whom she became German runner-up in 2011 and won the DFB Cup. On April 3, 2012, she announced her departure from Frankfurt at the end of the 2011/2012 season and signed with Djurgårdens IF on the same day . In 2012 she reached 3rd place in the women's Bundesliga with 1. FFC Frankfurt . They also reached the final of the DFB Cup and the UEFA Women's Champions League . In the DFB-Pokal they lost 2-0 to FC Bayern Munich , in the Champions League final they also lost 2-0 to the French defending champion Olympique Lyon .
She was nominated for the 2011 World Cup together with her club mate Sara Thunebro . In the Swedes' first game at the World Cup against Colombia , she scored the winning goal for Sweden 1-0 and was named Player of the Game. On July 16, 2011, she and the team won the game for third place in the 2-1 victory over France . In total, however, she only came on three missions.
Landström's last tournament was the 2012 Algarve Cup , where she played three out of four games and scored her last goal against Iceland . Then she came in preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games on three missions, the last and 64th of her career on June 20 against Japan , but was only available as a substitute for the Swedish squad at the Games. Five days before the tournament, she sat on the bench for an international match against the United Kingdom on July 20 .
