Gianna Rackow (born September 14, 2000 ) is a German soccer player .
Career
societies
Rackow began playing soccer at VfL Berghausen-Gimborn, where she played from the Bambini to the C-youth , before she laced her soccer shoes for SV Frielingsdorf for a year. She then moved to the youth department at Bayer 04 Leverkusen , with whose B-Juniors she competed in the B-Juniors' Bundesliga from the 2014/15 season. In 2016, she and the team won the B-Juniorinen Association Cup and scored both goals in the 2-1 final victory against 1. FC Köln . For the 2016/17 season, Rackow moved up to the Bundesliga team, although he was still eligible to play for the B-Juniors. After playing in the first round of the DFB Cup , she came on for Merle Barth on September 4, 2016 (first match day) in a 2-0 home defeat against FF USV Jena in the 71st minute , making her Bundesliga debut . After relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga, she managed to get back on track with the team in 2018 , although she was only able to play three league games this season due to a torn cruciate ligament .
National team
Rackow recommended herself for the U-16 national team through good performances in the U-16 national cup , in which she participated with the selection of the Mittelrhein Football Association . For this she made her debut on November 18, 2015 in a 7-0 win against England. In 2016, she and the team won the UEFA Development Tournament in Portugal and in July 2016 took second place in the Nordic Cup . On October 2, 2016, she played her first game for the U-17 national team as part of qualifying for the 2017 European Championship and scored her first international goal in a 6-0 win against Latvia. She was also part of the German squad at the final tournament in the Czech Republic , which the team won after a final victory against Spain, and played as a substitute in all five tournament games, scoring two goals. For the U-19 national team , she played a game in September 2017 as part of the qualification for the European Championship .
