Anna Wellmann (born May 19, 1995 in Xanten ) is a German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Wellmann played for SpVgg Kaufbeuren from 2011 , first for the B-Juniors and then for the women's team in the Bayern League. After a season with regional division TSV Schwaben Augsburg, he switched to second division FC Bayern Munich II in summer 2016 . For this she made her debut on August 28, 2016 (1st matchday) in a 1-0 win in the away game against 1. FC Saarbrücken and qualified for the single-track second Bundesliga for the 2018/19 season. On November 5, 2016 (7th matchday), she briefly belonged to the squad of the first team that won the Bundesliga match at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim 1-0.

In the following winter break, she signed a contract with Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen that was valid until June 30, 2020. After an injury to regular goalkeeper Anna Klink , she made her competitive debut on November 16, 2019 in a 1-0 round of 16 victory at 1. FFC Frankfurt in the round of 16 of the DFB-Pokal competition and made her competitive debut on November 23, 2019 (10th matchday) at the 3rd : 4 defeat in the away game against 1. FC Köln their first Bundesliga game.
