Katharina Prinz (born April 7, 1997 ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Prinz began her career at SSV Lützenkirchen and moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen's youth department in 2009 . From 2012 to 2014 she was the captain of the U-17 juniors with whom she played in the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga West / Südwest . She took part in the national cup in 2011 (U-15), 2012 (U-15, U-17) and 2013 (U-17) with the national teams of the Mittelrhein Football Association .

After she had previously played in two games for the second women's team in Regionalliga West , she was in the first team's squad for the first time on December 1, 2013 (9th matchday). In the 5-1 win against SC Freiburg , she also made her Bundesliga debut in this game when she came in for Kathrin Hendrich in the 86th minute . From the 2014/15 season, Prinz was a permanent member of the Leverkusen's Bundesliga squad before her contract, which expired in the summer of 2016, was not extended. She then joined the second division club SV Meppen for the 2016/17 season . There she became a regular player straight away and scored ten goals in 20 league appearances. For the second half of the 2017/18 season , Prinz returned to Leverkusen, who had meanwhile been relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga South. On February 11, 2018 (10th matchday), she scored the first second division goal for Leverkusen in a 6-1 home win against VfL Sindelfingen with the 4-0 goal. In the summer of 2020, Prinz moved to 1. FFC Recklinghausen .
