Pauline Wimmer (born August 27, 2001 ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Wimmer started playing football at the age of six and moved to Hertha Zehlendorf after the F-Jugend , before she later joined FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin , where she played in boys' teams until 2017. In the 2016/17 season she also received a second game right for the northern second division club 1. FC Union Berlin , for which she made ten league appearances and scored one goal.

In summer 2017 she moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 2nd Bundesliga South. After playing as a substitute twice at the beginning of the season, she tore a cruciate ligament and was out for the rest of the season. On October 21, 2018 (5th matchday), she made her comeback in the 3-0 away defeat against SC Sand when she came into the game for Elisabeth Mayr in the 79th minute , and at the same time made her Bundesliga debut.

National team

Wimmer made his debut on October 28, 2014 in the 13-0 victory of the U-15 national team against Scotland in the national shirt. In this game she scored her first goal in the national team with the goal to mean 9-0. In 2017 she took part with the U-16 national team in the Nordic Cup in Finland , where she took third place with the team. After that, until her cruciate ligament injury, she was the captain of the U-17 national team , with which she took part in a four-nation tournament at the end of August 2017.
