Anna Klink (born March 22, 1995 in Engelskirchen ) is a German soccer goalkeeper who is under contract with Bayer 04 Leverkusen .

Career

Klink began playing soccer in boys' teams at Wahlscheider SV , where she wasn't in goal, but playing in the field. In 2009 she moved to the youth department at Bayer 04 Leverkusen. With Bayer's B-Juniors, she qualified for the intermediate round of the German championship in 2011 . For the 2011/12 season she was brought up to the Bundesliga team early, and was also eligible to play for the B-Juniors. On October 2, 2011, she made her Bundesliga debut in the game against Hamburger SV after the regular goalkeeper Lisa Schmitz had to pass with a knee injury. After the goalkeeper Lisa Schmitz moved to 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam at the end of the 2014/15 season, she took her place as the new goalkeeper.

National team

On May 11, 2011 Klink was active for the first and only time for a German junior team when she came on as a substitute for Teresa Straub at halftime in the German U-16 national team's 2-0 win against Italy . In 2014 she was part of the 21-man German squad for the U-20 World Cup in Canada , which the team won after a 1-0 final victory against the Nigerian team. Klink was not used as the third goalkeeper behind Meike Kämper and Merle Frohms .

After graduating from high school, Klink began training as an office clerk at Bayer in 2013 and is studying nutritional sciences at a distance learning university .
