Teresa Straub (born August 10, 1995 ) is a German soccer goalkeeper who is under contract with Bundesliga club SC Freiburg .

Career

Teresa Straub began her football career in 2001 at FC Pfaffenweiler , where she went through all junior teams from the F-youth and most recently played with the male B-Juniors with a special permit. In 2009 she finally moved to the youth department of SC Freiburg. The goalkeeper has been part of Freiburg's first division squad since the 2011/12 season and made her Bundesliga debut on matchday 21 of the 2012/13 season in a 2-1 win against FF USV Jena - curiously, as a field player, as she played in the 90th minute for Carmen Höfflin was substituted on.

National team

The goalkeeper played three games for the German U-16 national team in 2011 , the last two as part of the Nordic Cup . In 2012 she won the European Championships in Nyon with the U-17 women and took part in the U-17 World Cup in Azerbaijan , where the team finished fourth. Straub was not used as a substitute goalkeeper behind Merle Frohms in either tournament.
