The Football Studio ( DFS ) is software that can be used to manage and evaluate football leagues.

history

Volker Mallmann programmed the football studio for the first time in 1989. At that time it was still a version for Atari computers . In 1991 a magazine appeared for the first time about Das Fußball Studio , in which it was rated as very good. At that time, however, the program was not yet freeware. At this time, the software was also used by the ARD / ZDF teletext center. In 1993, Volker Mallmann stopped developing this "original studio" .

Ten years later, development was resumed and development of the version now available for Windows PCs began. There are now several dozen users who offer databases for the program for download on the Internet. In addition, several users work in a team on the further development of the program.

Functions

The program offers the possibility of creating game plans and entering results. In addition, you can record the lineups of the teams with all the data and view the players individually and B. determine in which games the player was used. Teams can also be viewed individually. You can download a database that has already been created for the program from the Internet, and you can also collect league data yourself.

The flagship, the Bundesliga database, contains the complete data of the top leagues in German football since the leagues were founded in 1963 and 1974: the 1st Bundesliga , the 2nd Bundesliga and promotion rounds / relegation games. From the 2008/09 season the new 3rd division is also included.

The Bundesliga database with more than one million records includes:

  • more than 16,000 players, coaches and referees
  • all team line-ups with substitutions, yellow cards and evictions

In addition, more than 200 other databases are offered. Be it the German regional leagues , major leagues and association leagues as well as foreign leagues from all continents. In addition, databases with the most important football tournaments in the world such as the world championships , all continental championships, the Champions League , the UEFA Cup and the DFB Cup .

The databases can be downloaded free of charge. They are constantly checked, updated and expanded.
